More than 100 officers participated in the 40th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run on Thursday as they ran from NFTA Transit Police Department Headquarters to FBI Headquarters in downtown Buffalo. The event honored fallen FBI employees and raised funds for Special Olympics athletes (the torch symbolized inclusion and opportunity).
The Erie County Department of Health confirmed a Buffalo resident tested positive for measles after traveling abroad and visiting local sites. The case—the first since 2018—involved exposures at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and a Broadway building on May 24 and May 28, respectively.
