November 2026 Members Meeting and Demonstration by Art Cunanan.

About this event

Our November 16th Meeting and Demonstration will be from 7-9 pm on Zoom. We are thrilled to welcome back our much loved artist and teacher from Canada, Art Cunanan.

Born and educated in the Philippines, Art emigrated to Canada in 1976. Excited at the prospect of pursuing his passion to paint, he enrolled in workshops to gain knowledge of the business of art in Canada. Today he lives in southern Ontario where the surroundings abound with beautiful subject matter. Art enjoys working in watercolours but also excels in oil and acrylic with ease. Of the three mediums, watercolour is the most challenging and unpredictable but always surprises.

He states: “If only we would stop to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. I love nature; it inspires me. Light dominates my paintings. It makes them alive. Being able to paint is a God given talent; sharing the gift is a joy” Art conducts workshops all across Canada, the US and Europe. Most of his works are in private and corporate collections in Canada, USA, Australia, the Philippines and Europe. Art is an elected member of the prestigious Canadian Society of Painters in WaterColour. He is also a member of IWS Canada.
