- ➤ Froth Brewing (at 700 Military Road in Buffalo) announced its taproom will close on Feb. 1 after seven years of serving the community, though its beers will still be sold in local beer stores. WGRZ

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A new data chart shows that the 2025-26 flu season is more severe than the past two years. In the week ended Jan. 3, Erie County recorded 294 flu hospitalizations. The Buffalo News
- ➤ New state data shows flu cases in Western New York trending downward, but hospitalizations remain higher than last year. Dr. Thomas Russo of the University at Buffalo said the early flu season and capacity issues at Kenmore Mercy Hospital mean local hospitals remain under pressure. WGRZ
