- ➤ Erie County comptroller and county attorney said no red flags were found during a routine review of claims after D.J. Granville crashed a county pickup into seven parked cars on April 11 last year on Buffalo’s Lower West Side—officials noted that all settlements were processed as usual. Investigations continue as the Buffalo Police internal review and upcoming inquiries by the County Legislature on April 24 and the Police Oversight Committee on April 17 examine the case further. - ➤ The Chautauqua County District Attorney's Office was appointed as a special prosecutor to review decades-old drug convictions of two Black civil rights activists—who claim Buffalo police framed them for selling drugs more than 50 years ago.
