- ➤ Forest Lawn Cemetery leaders broke ground last week with Arc Building Partners and other officials on the Legacy Mausoleum, a new $3 million, open air mausoleum designed to offer 384 crypts and 400 niches for above-ground interment. Construction is expected to finish by December and pre-sale reservations for interment spaces are now available. Buffalo Rising

- ➤ Prosecutors in Schuyler County are investigating a 2023 incident at Elmira Correctional Facility where Leonard Robinson—a convicted Buffalo killer—allegedly was beaten, kicked, and choked by correction officers after an inmate threw hot liquid at him; his case is under review for possible criminal charges against the officers. - ➤ A Buffalo woman (23) accused of driving drunk and killing a pedestrian was arraigned on Friday on two counts of second-degree vehicular manslaughter and two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated after a crash near Boehm Place and Bailey Avenue on November 28th that killed Madonna Bishop (62). - ➤ Members of the East Side Parkways Coalition will attend a Common Council committee meeting today to ask lawmakers to take a position on the $1.5B Kensington Expressway project—seeking a resolution that supports the removal of the highway and restoration of Humboldt Parkway. The coalition, which includes candidate Michael Gainer, is urging the council to make a formal statement after a judge ordered an Environmental Impact Statement. WGRZ
