Good morning, Buffalo. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 2nd of April.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Residents in North Buffalo and Black Rock have reported a low-frequency hum from industrial facilities—believed by some to come from the Materion facility on Main St—that has troubled them for years, disturbing sleep and daily activities. City officials say enforcing industrial noise regulations is hard due to limited equipment while neighbors continue to file complaints, including concerns about a facility on Military Rd.  WGRZ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Buffalo Acting Mayor Chris Scanlon will release his 2025-2026 budget on Tuesday, April 8—he said it includes a 3% hotel occupancy tax expected to bring in about $3 million each year and a proposal to sell city-owned parking ramps for a one-time payment of 40 to 45 million.
