- ➤ Tonawanda Town Board and the Police Union will meet with the Public Employment Relations Board next week to resolve disputes over payroll deductions for 47 officers accused of an illegal ticket strike. Town Supervisor Joe Emminger said deductions will not start until PERB makes its decision—Police Club President Andy Thompson said officers plan to appeal the charges. WBFO
- ➤ Buffalo Common Council began reviewing Mayor Christopher Scanlon’s proposed budget today and discussed his plan to raise revenue by selling parking ramps and adding a city bed tax to ease property tax increases. Members warned that including these measures before required state laws pass may risk violating the city charter—public hearings are set for April 28 at the central library and April 29 in City Hall to gather more input.
