- ➤ The Buffalo Bills donated $43,675 to FeedMore WNY for families with food allergies after a two-day donation drive at Wegmans on May 3 and May 4—The Bills Foundation added $10,000 to further support those in need. WGRZ
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Niagara Falls Turtle building—a former Native American cultural center—is recognized nationally for its role in community preservation. Local advocates, including Friends of the Niagara Turtle and high school Native American groups, hope the owner will apply for state landmark designation to revive the property. WGRZ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Buffalo State University will confer degrees on nearly 1,700 undergraduate and graduate students during its 153rd Commencement on May 17 at the Sports Arena. Three ceremonies are scheduled at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.—each featuring awards and distinguished addresses while faculty are invited to join the procession or volunteer.
