- ➤ Buffalo will hold a Day of Service & Remembrance on May 14 — a day that starts with acts of service from 9 AM to 2 PM and continues with a community gathering from 3 to 7 PM to honor the 10 people killed three years ago at Tops Supermarket by a racist gunman. - ➤ Amherst police are asking for help to locate 18-year-old Alexandria Huff, who was last seen on Jasper Drive around 5:45 p.m. on May 11 and is described as 5'2" tall (140 lb, brown hair, light blue eyes) and may have been wearing black shorts, a dark gray shirt with a gold pink logo, black slippers and short black socks while needing medication; anyone with information should call (716) 689-1311. - ➤ City officials revived the Reimagining Grant Street plan to fix aging roads, missing bike lanes and worn storefronts (problems that have slowed the area's growth). - ➤ Buffalo officials plan to open a police gun range and training facility at the former Matt Urban Center on Paderewski Drive in the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood using $5 million from bond revenue—police say the project will improve training and save money.
