- ➤ More than 1,000 days after his indictment on May 14, 2022, federal prosecutors said that every day the Tops gunman Payton Gendron stays in jail is a victory as his death penalty trial will not begin jury selection until Jan. 5 at the earliest—while his defense seeks additional delays to avoid the shooting anniversary. - ➤ The first six seats in the new Buffalo Bills stadium were installed last week and crews have placed the bracket supports for the lower bowl seating—an installation that will take six to seven months to complete as workers add roughly 60,000 seats over the summer and fall.
