- ➤ Gas prices in Buffalo rose 4 cents to $4.59 per gallon, remaining 7 cents above the national average. Level Financial Advisors opened its new Southtowns office in Orchard Park Monday, and Trocaire College is offering Fall scholarships for nursing and vet tech students (applications due by July 15). - ➤ Bobbie Chase, a comics executive, inspired nearly 1,600 graduates at Buffalo State’s Sports Arena on Saturday, May 16 when she urged the class to be open to whatever may come — a call to embrace new beginnings. Buffalo State University
- ➤ At Buffalo State’s 154th Commencement on Saturday, May 16, community activist Rebekah A. Williams urged nearly 1,600 graduates to use their unique gifts for collective change. Williams, co-founder of Food for the Spirit, stressed the importance of building community and advancing equity. Buffalo State University
- ➤ Buffalo State University will host the Creative Problem Solving Institute from June 14 to 18, offering immersive workshops and keynotes on creative thinking and AI. The lineup, including a culinary presentation by Chef Mark Graham on June 14 in Social Hall, is set to benefit educators and community members on campus. Buffalo State University

- ➤ North Tonawanda will launch a program where the city works with homeowners to repair broken sidewalks by sharing repair costs. Residents can expect more details on the cost-sharing process soon. WGRZ
- ➤ A state court ruled that Cypress Creek Renewables may build a solar panel project on over 400 acres in Cambria and Pendleton, with work scheduled to begin in June and continue for two years to power up to 20,000 homes (Bear Ridge installation). WGRZ
