- ➤ Buffalo organizations offered free prom dress clothing at the Public Library on Sunday under the iPROMise Program, giving students who pledge a safe + sober celebration stylish attire; additional selections will be available throughout the week at the HATP Foundation on Bailey Avenue. ABC 7
- ➤ Neighbors gathered in Clarence to honor veterans at a Memorial Day ceremony held along the parade route and at the Clarence Veterans Memorial. Over 600 names are on the honor wall plus 55 on the memorial fountain, with family members sharing heartfelt remembrances. ABC 7
- ➤ Volunteers, including American Legion members and local JROTC and scouts, gathered Monday morning at Forest Lawn Cemetery to honor fallen service members in an annual Memorial Day flag placement tradition. - ➤ A fire over the weekend heavily damaged The Sterling at Arrowhead Golf Club on Clarence Road, leaving many Western New York couples scrambling for updates on their weddings — the venue suffered an estimated $1.5 million in damage and is assessing its next steps. WGRZ
