EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Grand Island Board approved the 2026-27 school budget that cuts nearly $498,000 and lowers the tax levy increase from 2.69% to 1.50% after community feedback. Voters will decide the proposal on Tuesday, June 16 with a public hearing on June 8 at the High School Gym.  ABC 7
