- ➤ TransDigm Group toured Servotronics Inc. on May 12 and made an initial offer of $38.50 per share—sparking a bidding war among nine companies. After a rival bid on May 23, TransDigm raised its offer to $47 per share on May 28, and Servotronics’ board quickly accepted the bid to merge the 66-year-old company with the aerospace giant. - ➤ Erie County grand jury indicted two city teens on Tuesday for a Friday night shooting on Domedion Avenue in Pine Hill that killed 3-year-old Ramone Carter and wounded his 7-year-old sister Jamia Griffin — both teens pleaded not guilty and remain detained on charges of second-degree murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. - ➤ James R. Muench Jr, 45, of Depew drove his pickup truck through a closed security gate at Buffalo Niagara International Airport on May 20 when he rammed Gate 1 and bypassed security controls—he now faces federal charges that may bring up to 10 years in prison. WBEN
