- ➤ Developer Douglas Jemal has slowed his downtown Buffalo projects as rising interest rates and construction costs increase expenses. He said he remains committed to the city—planning to wait for better conditions before restarting stalled projects and selling assets as needed. The Buffalo News
- ➤ Buffalo Central Terminal Restoration Corporation was approved to purchase three city-owned parcels at 59 Memorial Drive to begin predevelopment on the landmark post office and railway express buildings. Keller Williams Realty leads the region with 41 commercial agents and 69 listings—while a new $5.2 million business park on Walden Avenue in Lancaster, co-owned by Jim Basil Sr., seeks $200,000 in tax breaks with plans to renovate two warehouses and build two more. - ➤ Great Lakes Pressed Steel is proposing a 13,000 sq.ft. building with two loading docks at its Niagara Street site, and part of an old building will be removed to allow access from West Delevan Avenue—10 extra parking spaces will be added and the project will request a variance to build a 43-foot wide driveway instead of a 24-foot one.
