- ➤ Downtown Buffalo got a splash of color as the upper facade of 56 Niagara Street (former Dough Bois Pizza) was repainted from drab dark brown to bright maya blue, a change that may help attract a new tenant and lift the winter mood. - ➤ A 10-year-old girl was seriously injured on Sunday in Niagara Falls when she was struck while riding an e-scooter around 5:20 p.m. at the Marine Memorial Drive and 100th Street intersection—she was taken to Oishei Children’s Hospital for surgery while the driver remains uninjured and is cooperating with police. - ➤ Legends will hire key leaders for food, beverage, and retail at the new Bills stadium before adding local vendors to meet community benefits requirements. - ➤ Plans to restore a historic rail car nicknamed Phoebe's Coach are underway as part of the DL&W Terminal redevelopment on Buffalo's waterfront—once a key stop for the Phoebe Snow—and the artifact will be repurposed for community spaces while the terminal's second floor is set to open in 2028. - ➤ Buffalo State hosted nearly 60 Buffalo Public School Girls Who Game students on June 10 for hands-on STEM activities at the Science and Mathematics Complex. The program built confidence in science, math, and engineering by featuring a planetarium show, microscope lab, and water quality demonstration—students received awards and swag bags to encourage their interest. - ➤ Local elected leaders are opposing plans by the General Services Administration to move the Buffalo Passport Agency from downtown — they say the change will limit access for residents using public transportation and hurt downtown recovery.
