- ➤ The Taste of Buffalo will return next weekend in downtown Buffalo as a two-day food festival featuring 40 local restaurants and food trucks with new standard portion sizing to offer more value to guests — the event will run on July 12 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and July 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Five restaurants will also join with Hot Ones to create special, heat-packed dishes and to host a Heat & Greet Pop-Up tent with tastings on both days. - ➤ Community members at King Center Charter School rallied after three key administrators were suddenly terminated last week immediately following the eighth-grade graduation, and a fourth official resigned in protest. Parents and staff now are demanding answers and calling for the administrators’ immediate reinstatement — votes can be cast in the 'We Are KCCS' campaign by July 9. ABC 7

- ➤ Investigators are still looking into a car crash in April when Daniel 'D.J.' Granville, the Sheriff's Office narcotics chief, drove a county truck into parked cars and got a jaywalking citation for driving wrong on a one-way street—he will become eligible for a six-figure pension in August if he stays on the job.
