  • More than 1,500 cyclists took over the Buffalo Skyway on Sunday and rode 13 miles through Lackawanna, downtown Buffalo, and the Outer Harbor to advocate for safer streets and a healthier community. The ride ended at Terminal B with a celebration party and was GoBike Buffalo's largest fundraiser of the year.  WGRZ
  • A charity beer event at Resurgence Brewing celebrated two rescue pets while raising over $20,000 for local animal shelters in Buffalo — Tum Tum overcame fading kitten syndrome and Gauge, a German shepherd, lost his owner in a car crash this spring. The funds will help Ten Lives Club and Buddy's Second Chance Rescue continue their animal rescue efforts.  WGRZ

ECONOMY NEWS

  • High-priced home sales in Buffalo and its suburbs are rising as buyers choose upscale homes for more comfort and security. Local agents say both local professionals and out-of-town investors are active—sales include the six-bedroom mansion at 50 Tudor Place that sold for $3.5 million in March—indicating a shift toward luxury in the region.  The Buffalo News

  • The EEOC announced that a Buffalo company will pay $360,000 to settle an alleged discrimination case as it addresses claims of unfair employment practices.  The Buffalo News

  • Kyle Roche, a Buffalo native and once controversial crypto litigator, bought a $3.5 million mansion in Elmwood Village that set a record for the city's most expensive home. He and his wife Kaylin plan to move here full time in a few years—he will also open a Buffalo branch of his law practice and invest in local properties.  The Buffalo News
