- ➤ Yesterday, the Buffalo Bills Foundation and Wegmans collected non-perishable food donations at Highmark Stadium from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to aid FeedMore WNY and nearly 400 hunger-relief agencies — organizers said the drive supported local hunger-fighting charities. The Buffalo News
- ➤ This morning many vehicles are backed up on I-190 North at the Peace Bridge exit—signs show the bridge is closed to commercial trucks. ABC 7
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ A $6 million solar farm is being built on a 10-acre site in Lackawanna’s Steelworks Industrial Park—an area damaged by a 2016 fire—by Bethlehem Solar Park and Good Energy. The project will generate power for at least 300 homes once completed by early 2026 and is expected to give the city a refreshed image. WBEN
- ➤ American Cruise Lines is launching four cruises in 2026 that include stops in Buffalo starting in May—officials are working to find a temporary docking spot until a new Outer Harbor terminal is built by mid-2027. The trips cost about $8,675 for a nine-day journey and also visit cities like Rochester and Cleveland on a Great Lakes and Thousand Islands route. The Buffalo News

- ➤ Scott Brauer, a manufacturing teacher at Orleans Niagara BOCES, was awarded $50,000 from the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize in Sanborn—$35,000 for his program and $15,000 for him—after his class achieved a 98% graduation rate with 85% of students earning at least one industry certification. - ➤ Three-and-a-half years after a mass shooting at Tops on Jefferson, Grand Island schools added the AI tool Zero Eyes to their 24/7 camera system—Superintendent Graham said the system costs about $50,000 a year and may slow a gun incident by sending alerts to staff and police quickly. ABC 7
