- ➤ Ken-Ton Closet in Kenmore is helping children from birth to 18 prepare for winter by giving free winter coats, shoes, and more—serving about 50 to 60 kids and 18 families each day. Volunteers noted that new families are arriving weekly as costs rise—reminding the community that appointments help manage the busy schedule. WGRZ

- ➤ Dalfonso’s Italian Imports finished its move from the West Side to Allen Street and will open Thursday at 162 Allen St.—The specialty grocery is known for its premium sandwiches and received help from Shop Allen Street to serve the Allentown community. WGRZ

- ➤ Mario Lopez stars in a holiday movie titled The Christmas Spark filmed in Western New York that will stream on Pure Flix starting Nov. 28. The film follows a corporate lawyer who joins a small town fire department and finds unexpected love—spreading festive cheer locally. WGRZ
- ➤ The National Buffalo Wing Festival in 2026 will move to the weekend before Labor Day and is now set for August 29th—30th because of a conflict with the Buffalo Bisons’ schedule. Festival founder Drew Cerza said the new dates will let more wing fans attend by avoiding holiday weekend staffing issues. WBEN
- ➤ Independent author Jamie Cavallaro released a new children’s book titled G is for Go Bills that uses the ABCs to teach local pride and celebrate Buffalo's famous football cheer. The Buffalo News
- ➤ Buffalo’s Kleinhans Music Hall now displays a new reflecting pool—renamed the Stenclik Family Reflecting Pool—restored at a cost of about $450,000 from an $18 million capital campaign that funded essential repairs and upgrades. The project preserves the hall’s historic design for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and visitors who value its cultural legacy. WBEN

- ➤ D’Youville University received a $5 million state grant to renovate its building at 285 Delaware Avenue for a new medical school, with construction scheduled to begin early next year and finish by spring—Buffalo–Niagara Business Ethics Awards will be held on November 20th at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens in Depew, and Delaware North named Adrian Dishington as COO of its Sportservice division. Erie County recorded its 81st home sale over $1 million when a property at 9 Dante Court in Amherst sold for $1.3 million. WBEN

- ➤ A new report showed that more than half a million lead water lines remained in use across New York, placing many residents at risk of lead exposure. The report noted that aging infrastructure in Western New York is a concern—Buffalo received $11.5 million for service line improvements. WBFO

- ➤ Buffalo’s Civil Service Committee recommended Jennifer Butera as the new animal shelter director as plans to relocate the facility on Niagara Street move forward—a proposed $3M build-out offering 16,000 square feet, a courtyard, and parking; council approval for funding remains pending. WGRZ
- ➤ Seneca Nation leaders have asked the state to begin fair talks on a new gaming compact to replace the expired 2002 deal, saying slow negotiations are showing disrespect. A report shows their casinos and more than 30 businesses created nearly two billion dollars in impact and over 8,000 jobs in Western New York — evidence of their strong economic role. ABC 7
