- ➤ Dewitt Lee honored Black Veterans Day by giving away free suits to veterans from his organization Saint Brian Clothiers—ensuring veterans received a tangible gesture of support. WGRZ
- ➤ Seven Bills players visited the VA Hospital on Veterans Day to meet veterans and sign jerseys, giving them a token of gratitude + a memorable gesture of appreciation. The visit honored those who served and left a lasting impact on the local community. ABC 7
- ➤ Volunteers from ONE Credit Union prepared 750 sandwiches at St. Luke's Mission of Mercy on Wednesday—exceeding their usual production and helping feed local families in need. Farmer Pirates Compost Crew will also raise funds until November 26 to support the mission's year-round services. WGRZ
- ➤ Bishop Michael Fisher—after meeting with Pope Leo XIV and Vatican officials—said he discussed the diocese bankruptcy and plans to merge or close parishes to deal with financial issues in Buffalo. WGRZ

- ➤ Wicked will run for three weeks at Shea’s Performing Arts Center, giving Buffalo theater fans a chance to see the popular musical live— a welcome return to our local stage. WGRZ
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lake effect snow has damaged trees in Buffalo and across Western New York; Chase Tomaro of AJ’s Tree Service said that trees with leaves are more prone to break under the extra weight of snow and wind, leading to broken limbs and some small uprooted trees — Norway maples and Bradford pears are among those affected. Cleanup has already begun on fallen limbs and damaged trees. WBEN

- ➤ Amherst Supervisor Brian Kulpa said he hopes the vacant BAC Building will become a community center—while developers are expected to propose housing options for over 13 acres at Boulevard Mall. He noted that legal issues are being addressed and both projects are likely to move forward by early spring, though nothing will be finished before his term ends on Dec. 31. WBEN

- ➤ Buffalo men's basketball defeated DePaul 66 to 53 on Tuesday night at Wintrust Arena in Chicago and built a 21-point lead by halftime. - ➤ The Erie County Sheriff's Office released parking and traffic plans for the Buffalo Bills game against the Buccaneers this weekend, noting that all stadium lots open at 9:00 a.m. and advising drivers not to park on roadway shoulders. Abbott Road will close from 8:00 a.m. until after the game—Big Tree Road will switch to one-way eastbound traffic from Fieldhouse Drive to Route 219 around 3:30 p.m.—to help manage the crowd. WGRZ
- ➤ The Bills announced they will return to their throwback 'Standing Buffalo' uniforms with white jerseys and pants for their Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — the design uses a logo from 1965 to 1973.
