- ➤ Buffalo’s Code Blue program offers shelter, food, and safety for the homeless when temperatures drop below freezing. The service runs nightly from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.—its warming shelter stays open into the day to keep people safe in the cold. Spectrum News
- ➤ A benefit event for Jamaican hurricane relief is set for tonight at the Terrace at Delaware Park in Buffalo—local restaurants and businesses serve Jamaican dishes, Red Stripe beer, and Caribbean cocktails. The fundraiser will raise money for charities to help provide shelter, water, and food to families affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. WGRZ

- ➤ West Seneca has received state approval to expand its deer culling program as residents report issues with over 1,000 deer hurting lawns and causing car collisions. Supervisor Gary Dickson said a team of eight hunters will work to cut the population by 200—processed meat from the culled deer will be donated to local food banks. WBEN

- ➤ A North Tonawanda teen faced a sudden medical crisis and underwent an emergency liver transplant. She is now recovering+ taking her first steps toward better health. WGRZ

- ➤ Bills quarterback Josh Allen will wear a cap—designed by twin brothers Max and Ben who spent 56 days in Oishei Children’s Hospital’s NICU—at Sunday’s game. The special cap will later be auctioned at Highmark Stadium with all proceeds going to the Patricia Allen Fund to support hospital critical care teams. WGRZ
