  • Calvary Baptist Church hosted its annual Thanksgiving outreach event by providing over 1,200 meals to local residents—supporting families during the holiday.  WGRZ
  • Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin hosted a turkey drive at the Hennepin Center on Saturday—over 100 families received food that will help them enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.  WGRZ
  • The SPCA Serving Erie County rescued 200 farm animals in the Town of Brant this week and is caring for survivors including goats, ducks, dogs & cats. Many of the animals were severely neglected and had already died, and the ones left are being treated at the West Seneca facility or placed with local foster farms.  ABC 7
  • At Buffalo Niagara International Airport, travelers experienced minimal delays on Saturday evening even as AAA projects over 81 million holiday trips nationwide and the FAA warns Tuesday could be one of the busiest travel days in 15 years—airlines have resumed normal operations after the recent government shutdown.  WGRZ

  • The Aquarium of Niagara held a Wicked-themed event with sing alongs, crafts, and interactive fun that engaged local families.  WGRZ
  • Officials said progress continues on the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor as it is developed to highlight Buffalo’s rich African American history and culture.   • The DEC and Department of Health announced that Ischua Creek is now open for recreation after high discharge from Great Lakes Cheese forced its closure in August.  WGRZ

  • The Rural Outreach Center has teamed up with Independent Health — providing free resources to families in rural areas.  WGRZ
  • Lockport’s new memory care center, The Remembrance Collective, opened its doors Monday on Lincoln Avenue and now provides specialized support for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. It offers occupational therapy, case management and various activities in a safe environment — all designed to help clients feel valued and connected.  WGRZ
