ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Monday, a contractor accidentally dropped debris inside Aurora Theater (673 Main Street in East Aurora) during a West Seneca Central School event; authorities evaluated six children and confirmed everyone returned safely to class.  WBFO

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Buffalo Public Schools leaders confirmed that no schools will close this week as the Board of Education pauses its closure plans until new leadership takes office in January (keeping PS 3 and PS 90 open for now).  ABC 7
  • Buffalo State celebrated a record enrollment increase with 1,293 freshmen and nearly 1,700 graduates, launched a renovated Karner Hall for its UPD home + added a second data buoy for waterfront research.   • At Pearl On Ice in downtown Buffalo, themed holiday skate nights offer hot chocolate, treats and cocktails on select evenings, and a ticketed event called Skating with the Bandits is scheduled for Dec. 30 while the rink is open on designated days for family fun.  WGRZ

  • On Sunday, the Bills rallied from a 21-point deficit to beat the Patriots 35-31.
