2026 Sessions: Thursdays 10:15 am – 12:15 pm The Burchfield Penney Art Center at SUNY Buffalo State is excited to host the sixth season of the innovative, award-winning program, Art Moves Me, a free gallery-based dance and wellness program designed for people impacted by Parkinson's disease. One of only a few programs in the world to offer Parkinson's-specific programming in an art museum setting, Art Moves Me at Burchfield Penney Art Center distinguishes itself with a robust schedule of weekly experiences. These master classes are led by Cynthia Pegado, Dance for PD teaching artist, for people living with Parkinson's disease, care partners, and community friends. Sessions emphasize fun and creative interaction with fine art, firmly grounded in evidence-based therapeutic fundamentals to benefit physical, cognitive, social, and mental health. This program is FREE, including museum admission. No previous experience is needed. Fully accessible and inclusive for all, including people using adaptive devices. Masks are optional but encouraged.
