- ➤ A Lackawanna man accused of driving while intoxicated crashed on June 5 on the inbound Route 5 Skyway—he struck another car, which killed his passenger and injured another driver, and he now faces charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, second-degree manslaughter and second-degree assault with bail set at $250,000. - ➤ Erie County narcotics chief D.J. Granville, who pleaded guilty to reckless driving and leaving the scene after an accident on Buffalo’s west side, was suspended without pay for 30 working days and agreed to pay restitution to the county—while officials and community members call for an independent investigation by the Attorney General to address concerns over police conduct.
