EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ UB expects about 1,000 fewer international students this fall due to visa delays and a slowing tech job market—factors that could cut tuition revenue by about $6.5 million. - ➤ Niagara University said that while international students make up 23% of its body, only 6% come from outside Canada—challenges arose when a visa interview freeze affected admissions. - ➤ Local developer David Manko will soon close on 35 acres near the new Highmark Stadium — he plans to invest $3 million in infrastructure before selling the site to a homebuilder for 66 new homes. The Hamburg Planning Board approved the subdivision and reserved six acres for the current owner's dwelling, barn and yard. WGRZ
- ➤ Erie County real estate records show numerous property deals — ranging from $15,000 to over $3 million — that were recorded by the county clerk’s office for the week ending May 23. The transactions involved many buyers and sellers and reflect active trading in public records. The Buffalo News
